6 Exercises to Tone Your Butt
Bikini season brings a great opportunity to show off your toned body and great booty. Get prepared for summer events with these fun and challenging exercises that would make J-Lo proud.
Bridge with Leg Lifts
Get in bridge position and raise one leg up to the ceiling. Raise your butt off the ground balancing the leg in the air. Try to lift your body a bit higher every time. For an added challenge, hold for 30 seconds every rep. Do 20-30 reps on each side.
Lunge with Dumbbells
Make your lunges count more with the help of some weights. The weights will help you see results faster, and challenge those at a higher fitness level. Ankle weights are also a great lunge buddy.
Warrior Yoga Pose
Stand straight with feet together. Raise one leg behind you and bend forward until you are perpendicular to the floor. Keep your arms at your sides as you focus on engaging your muscles. Hold for 30 seconds, then 1 minute, 2 minutes, etc.
Hold onto a chair in front of you and spread your feet out a bit further than shoulder’s width. Rise up on your tiptoes and do squats while holding this position. You’ll be as graceful as a ballerina with the butt of one.
Downward Facing Dog with Leg Lift
Get into the downward facing dog position and raise one leg to the ceiling. This will be a challenge at first, so don’t be hard on yourself. Do reps of legs lifts and try to raise your leg a tiny bit higher every time. Do 10-20 reps on each side. Practice makes perfect with this one, so keep trying!
Side Knee In Reps
Sit for a side plank leaning on your elbow and bend the bottom leg. Lift the upper leg and straighten it. Do reps of bringing the knee in towards your stomach. Make sure to engage your muscles to get the best results.
