Looking For An Easy Weight Loss Solution? Start With YOU!
Everyone is looking for an easy weight loss that requires little effort or time and gives maximum results, but the true solution lies within YOU!
Well, the nasty wake up call is that there are no magic pills (despite what you may think), and nothing will happen unless you do something for yourself! Your weight is yours and yours alone, and therefore if you want to lose some of that excess weight, then there is only one person who can do it for you: YOU!!! The solution is easy, but the methods will take effort. Having said that, there are plenty of weight loss tips and techniques that you can employ to take the strain out of losing weight. But ultimately, weight loss can only happen if your body burns up more calories than it takes in. The magic four words for weight loss are: Eat Less, Exercise More.
Start out with some exercise. It’s not as difficult as it sounds. Exercise takes many forms, from walking a few blocks instead of taking the car, to swimming for enjoyment, running up and down stairs instead of taking the elevator, doing housework and cleaning, gardening etc. In fact anything that you do that involves moving your body and exerting some work on your muscles to cause your heart rate to rise, your breathing to get harder, and for you to break out in a sweat is considered exercise. But note that laying on a beach sweating in the sun or in a sauna doesn't count. However, running into the sea for a bracing swim does!
So you see, exercise doesn't have to mean joining a gym and working out several times a week or joining an aerobics class and feeling awkward in front of a class full of thin gorgeous women in leotards. (Although if you enjoy the gym and aerobics classes, go for it!) Even doing something as simple as walking somewhere every day counts towards your body burning off some of its excess calories. Take the dog or the kids with you, and make it your special time to be together at the end of every day.
Now that you have the exercise part down, the other trick is that you need to watch your food intake. You can’t get out of this one! The good news is, barring any special instructions from your physician, you don’t need to go on strict diets that eliminate whole food categories. (Note: “Sweets” or “Dessert” is not a food group.) But you do have to be sensible and mindful about what and how much you eat.
That means eating more natural, home cooked meals instead of grabbing a fast burger and fries or pizza to wolf down, and then wash it down with a sweet, fizzy soda drink. You have to ditch the junk and start eating real food. Generally speaking, if it grows in the ground or walks the earth, you’re good to go. Take some time on a Sunday to look up some quick, healthy recipes for the week. Cook extra portions for dinner so you have lunch to take with you to work the next day. For example, a quick stir-fry of chicken breast, carrots and onion, and a side of wild rice is a quick, excellent meal. When pair healthy eating with some exercise you enjoy, you'll amaze yourself at how the pounds start to come off without any effort! At least, it'll seem that way, which is exactly what living a healthy lifestyle should be all about! It should be nice to do, easy to do and enjoyable to do! So do it! Just remember, this is truly about a lifestyle change. Once you’ve lost the 20 pounds you were going for, you cannot go back to your bad eating habits and expect to keep it off. It will take time, and a mind reset about how you relate to food and physical activity, and sometimes you may “fall off the wagon.” Try not to beat yourself up if you have some slip-ups, but don’t allow them to happen too often! Always keep striving towards that lifestyle, and eventually it will become second nature to you.
