Hot Lemon Water Recipe
As you may be able to tell from the title, this recipe is extremely easy to make, and has wonderful health benefits! Hot water with lemon has been used by many for its quick detox effects, due to the citric acid in lemon. It can help improve digestion and the absorption of vitamins and minerals, as well as provide a boost of vitamin C. The rind of the lemon is also good for your liver, so make sure to follow this recipe and use the whole fruit slice! You can take it at night after a heavy meal, or take first thing in the morning when you wake up.
-1 medium lemon slice, seeds removed, cut in half
-1 tsp of raw, organic honey (if desired)
Boil water as you slice a lemon round from a fresh lemon.
Remove the seeds, then slice the round into two halves.
Squeeze each half in a mug, and then drop the remainder of the rinds into the cup.
If desired, spoon 1tsp of raw, organic honey into the mug.
Pour the hot water over the lemon juice and slices, and stir with a spoon.
