“When we consider all the abuse our hair is subject to, a normal hair conditioner is just not enough to bring back our crowning glory. It is constantly under attack from central heating, cold windy weather and bright sunshine. And in addition to this, whether at home or in a beauty salon, it gets attacked by blow dryers and straighteners, and degenerates due to the chemical impact of tinting and perming. And as if that was not enough, the added effects of prescription medication, aging, smoking, a poor diet, too much alcohol, and hormonal changes, all play a supporting role in yet more degeneration.
As I am passionate about natural and holistic health, I have searched for a nourishing recipe which helps hair repair, boosts growth, and makes it thicker, softer and more manageable. It only takes minutes to make, and boasts powerful live ingredients.
The ingredients in this miraculous hair mask are bumper packed with vitamins, minerals, fatty acids and antioxidants to make your hair look fantastic. After using it for a short time, you should find that your hair is soft, shiny, and thicker.
The superfood ingredients can be found anywhere, and consist of:
1 tablespoon of olive oil (preferably virgin)
2 tablespoons of coconut oil
50 milliliters of coconut milk
1/2 a banana and
1/2 an avocado
You will need a small bowl, a spoon, a hair dye brush or suitable paint brush, and a shower cap.
Olive Oil is bursting with nutrients including the monounsaturated fatty acid oleic acid, and other fatty acids which are excellent for keeping the scalp and hair healthy. When the hair's outer layers are damaged, it can transform them and make the hair look sleek and vibrant. Olive oil is also bursting in antioxidants which can protect the hair follicles and fight off damaging free radicals which can prematurely age the hair. Being an emollient, olive oil is particularly good for penetrating the scalp, thereby generating great elasticity and shine.
Coconut oil comprises medium-chain fatty acids and lauric acid which work to boost strong thick shiny hair and new growth. Its treasure trove of nutrients including minerals and vitamins, help to regenerate your hair and scalp, leaving it in tip-top condition. Coconut oil is also anti-fungal and anti-bacterial, and is perfect for dandruff and other scalp conditions.
Coconut milk is fantastic for making the hair moisturized, soft and glossy, so you end up with a beautiful shiny, strong long mane. It is also renowned for helping hair growth. It contains various nutrients, natural fatty acids, lauric acid, significant quantities of vitamins E and C, as well as various minerals. For example, it boasts folate and niacin which helps improve blood circulation in the scalp.
Banana is well known for boosting hair growth. It is also super for conditioning and repairing damaged hair and giving it a lovely luscious healthy shine. It comprises a host of important nutrients such as vitamins E, C, B and A, and the minerals manganese, iron, zinc, and potassium. It is also great for soothing an itchy scalp.
Avocado is often used to ameliorate hair growth, and fight against hair loss. It also makes the hair strands more elastic and soft, and serves as a wonderful moisturizer for damaged and dry hair. It is bursting with hair friendly nutrients such as vitamins E and C, which work to strengthen and protect our manes. Vitamin E is first-class for helping to regenerate damaged scalps, while vitamin B boosts regular hair growth.
Blend all the ingredients together until they transform into a paste. If you do not have a blender, you can improvise with a fork. Then, part your hair with a comb at different intervals as you would before applying a hair dye, and use a suitable brush to apply the mixture to your scalp. If this is too difficult, then just apply with your fingers.
Once you have covered all your scalp, use your hands to put on more of the mixture on top of your head, and slowly work it into your hair right down to the ends at the bottom of your long or short hair. After this, give your scalp a 2 to 4 minute massage. Then scoop up your hair and cover your head for 10 to 30 minutes. Then rise off using fairly hot water and two rounds of shampoo.
Apply conditioner if needed. Enjoy!”
