Ultimate Protein Crepe Recipe
Perfect for Sunday brunch and also your balanced diet, try making this super easy protein crepe recipe this weekend! Whether you’re a bodybuilder or just a regular Jane trying to eat healthy, these crepes are a great way to pack a high-protein (read: hunger-blasting) punch, minus the heavy carbs and sugars that normally come with breakfast foods. What are you waiting for? Break out the mixing bowl!
-4 egg whites
-1 Tbsp of Vanilla protein powder
-1 tsp of vanilla extract
-1 cup of almond milk
-1 cup of whole wheat flour
-Dash of cinnamon (optional)
-½ Tbsp of butter, canola oil, or non-dairy alternative
In a mixing bowl, toss in the whole wheat flour and protein powder. Make a hole in the center of the mixture.
Crack the eggs, moving the yolk from one half of the shell to the other as the whites fall into the hole in the flour.
Mix, adding the almond milk slowly.
Add in vanilla, and cinnamon if desired, and mix until smooth.
Place a frying pan on medium heat, and add the butter or an alternative to the pan. Make sure the whole pan is well greased.
Add one ladle of the mixture, or just enough so that it spreads out thinly and evenly on the pan. Let it cook until the edges get crispy, then flip to cook the other side.
Repeat until all the batter is cooked.
Garnish with a drizzle of chocolate hazelnut spread, or honey and fruit, and roll into a cigar shape. Enjoy!
